random question: for people who have the Motorola V710 and have a bluetooth headset, is there a way for you to let the phone ring and hear it ring so that you don't have to have your headset on all the time? For some reason, I have the jabra headset and I can't seem to get my phone to ring, it'll only vibrate.

Have you figured out how to transfer from the HFL system to a bluetooth HEADSET? For example, it appears that I cannot have the V710 linked to the HFL system at the same time as it is linked to the BT headset. I have to "drop" the HFL link from the phone, and THEN I can link with the headset. Since I can't "drop" the HFL link from the phone in the middle of a call, I can think of no way to transfer a call from the car's HFL sound system to the BT headset in the middle of a call. Or back the other way, for that matter. Any thoughts or experience would be much appreciated!

 

If you want your V710 to ring along with the bluetooth headset, you will need to go to your wireless provider and upgrade your phone's software. I went to Verizon wireless this week and had mine done. It also allows you to see the signal strength and battery meter on your dash. But be ready to re-link (pair up)your phone with the earpiece and car.
