V600 Firmware Upgrade and HFL Working???
V600 Firmware Upgrade and HFL Working???
I have a V600 and went to a T637 bacause of the answering problems others
have mentioned. I am curious, for those into hacking their VXX phones, has
anyone tried the new firmware TRIPLETS_G_0B.09.45R on the VXX with the TL
- has the answering and battery strength problem gone away?
Morotola is supposed to fix this, I'm not sure if this firmware is "the fix".
I upgraded my VXX but don't carry it since I love the T637. I'll try and test
it this weekend and let people know. Not being able to answer easily
makes it useless with the HFL
For those technogeeks into upgrading phone firmware, check out
www.howardforums.com in the Motorola forum for details.
It's not very hard to do surprisingly.
But now I'm waiting for T637 firmware to fix the "PHONE" on the
display problem. I have Cingular service. But at least
it works!

Sorry, I see in other threads that the 45R upgrade does solve the problem.
I want to test for myself though.
If you have Cingular, don't expect them to help with this. At least in my area,
Phila - it's hell getting them to do a firmware upgrade (unlike verizon was).
So I just do it myself and I'm plenty happy about it.
Not sure about the other carriers.
