It seems that I have a .2DR version of the software. I suppose that this is the old one? (Crap, even my replacement device has the old software. What are these people thinking?)

Got my phone 2 days ago. Supposedly, one of the first sold by Cingular in my area.

Cingular V600
It seems that most clam closed problems are with Cingular customer. Let's stay on top of this so our phones will work properly with our Loveships. Please keep the board updated on any Cingular V600 / HFL updates.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Just picked up my V600 yesterday from Cingular.
Calls can be made with no problem. But I cannot accept in coming calls. They are all routed to the V600. Spent time with the Acura dealer and they are stumped as well.
The guy kept saying how simple the Ericsson phone was to setup.

Played around a bit this afternoon.
Basically:
Clam open....I can accept calls.
Clam closed......I can accept...but have to transfer to HFL to use the system.
Dialing out is flawless.
Auto answer and handsfree are both off.
Maybe if one person who has had ZERO trouble would post all of there settings and info, then someone else who is the opposite extreme could post theirs.

Did a fair amount of experimenting with my V600 today. It only works "properly" if the clamshell is open. If the clamshell is closed, and I receive a call in the car, I can open the clamshell and then take the call "normally" on the HFL. This seems to be a better solution than the saying "transfer" workaround because the party calling does not experience the approximately 8 seconds of silence while you're transferring from the V600 to the HFL.
So the key issue for those of us who have V600s that don't function properly is why does having the clamshell open make a difference? Kudos to whomever can figure this out.

I have issues receiving calls via the HFL with my V600. Sometimes the calls are routed to the phone and not the HFL. Ended up calling HFL Support and finally Motorola support. Motorola took my V600 Serial Number and IMEI Number and after 3 days they came back and told me that my phone has a MAC Address issue and that is why I could be having this issue. AT&T is sending me a replacement phone which they say has the MAC address issue resolved. Hopefully this should resolve the HFL issue... I will update when I get the new phone and test...

Ok, here goes. This setup works for me.
Carrier: Cingular
Phone(s): 2 V600's (purchased on 5/04/04)
S/W: TRIPLETS_G_0B.09.2FR
Flex version: GS9V600CIN02NA11C
Auto Answer: Off
Auto Handsfree: On
Bluetooth Power: On
Works great!! Only problem is that the battery drains very fast. No biggie, I bought a car charger.
One thing I didn't realize at first was how it handles two phones. What I have determined is that although I have two phones "paired", I cannot have two phones "linked". This may be old news to you guys, but it hadn't occured to me. I get in the car and I am linked. Cool. Wife gets in the car and she is not linked. Hmmm. I get out and go back in the house because I forgot something and now she is linked instead of me!! She powers hers off/on. Poof. I am linked again!! Very cool really.
I have no problems whatsoever regarding the clam being opened/closed. I can send and receive flawlessly just by having the phone in my pocket or on the charger.
Any questions?

V600 works fine, but clamshell has to be open..
I didn't change any settings on the phone. Dialing out is not a problem, but I could not receive any phone calls with the clamshell closed. After experimenting all afternoon, and with the help of users' reviews on this forum, I got V600 to receive calls only if the clamshell is left open. Holding the answer button longer didn't work for me.
The MID shows the signal strength but not battery strength. Only thing is that bluetooth drains battery very fast. So you need to keep it plugged, esp on a long trip.

Have your phone open it works perfect when open I did a few tests. The V600 cingular phone has to be open to use in your car. I repeat open. trust me try it. My phone works perfect now. So leave your phones open.

Sounds like you have a pairing problem. Try deleting just the pair setup info in the TL and then repair it.
I wouldn't reflash with v525 unless you are prepared to accept the risk of turning the phone into a brick...

Did some testing with my AT&T V600.
Basically I’m seeing all of the same problems that everyone else is seeing. Can’t consistently accept incoming phone calls with clam shell closed, but can make outgoing calls flawlessly.
Here’s what I noticed. I can consistently accept incoming calls with the clam shell closed until I make an outgoing call. Once I make an outgoing call I have to have the clam shell open or transfer to accept incoming calls. So if someone calls me before I make a call it works ;-)
I wonder if this is an HFL or V600 issue? Perhaps someone can pass this information along to the folks who are listening.
Anyone else notice this behavior?

There is network timing problem on the v600. The fix is being tested by AT&T and should be available in a couple to three weeks. The software version with the fix is 9.42R. You'll be able to get a reflash under warranty (or so I've heard).
