V505 AT&T

Just found out that ATT has phased out its V600 and has replaced it with the V505 which theoretically has the updated software which should work with the TL. Anyone have any experience with the V505?

I wouldn't call the v505 a replacement, its a new phone. the v505 doesn't have all the features the v600 does. By the way, my v600 works great with my TL.

Had the V600 for two weeks..nothing but problems. ATT would not approve the .44R update. Perhaps somthing to do with Cingular buying them and systems being different?

What kind of problems. My V600 so far no issues. 1 week old.

the issues were that when you recieved calls they would not be answered by the HFL with or without the clam shell closed. Outgoing worked fine. Lots of previous threads about this problem. The calls would be forwarded to the phone. Motorola issued a fix with new firmware but ATT determined that after testing it would not use it. The firmware fix ended in 09.44R. Some folks had success having the V600 flashed by other techs. Hope you don't have problems. New York's a crazy place for interference.
