I have a v505 that had an AT&T sim card for the last year or so and worked great with the Bluetooth in my TL. I didn't get battery life on the MID, but always got signal quality and caller ID information, which has been fine with me. I recently moved and needed to update my wireless plan. In order to do so, I needed to use a Cingular SIM. The salesguy sent me to a place that unlocked my phone so that it could accept the Cingular card.

The phone now works fine. And the Bluetooth works fine...except I no longer get caller ID info. The MID now just lists "Incoming Call." Of course Cingular, nor the place that unlocked my phone, claim responsibility. I know that the Bluetooth communications are just between the phone and the car, and that the SIM shouldn't matter, but when this unlock/SIM swap occured is exactly when the problem started.

Has anyone else seen anything like this?

go to motomodders.net and flash some different firmwares for that phone, see if that makes any difference
