I like to use the Voice Recognition feature on my Razr to retrieve and call numbers from the phonebook. But while connected to the HFL, the microphone on the phone is disabled. When I press the Smart Key (the button on the side of the phone display), the display shows it's in Voice Recognition mode but it does not hear my command whether through the HFL mic or the mic on the phone itself.

I find myself manually searching for the number in the phonebook, pressing "send" on the phone, and then using the "transfer" command on HFL. This requires a lot of "eyeballs off-the-road" time...not so good around Chicagoland.

Has anyone found a work around? I'm unable to import my Razr's phonebook to the TL, and the 50-name limit on the HFL phonebook is not big enough.

I have the same problem with my V325i. What we need is a mode where the HFL simply acts like a bluetooth headset. I much prefer interacting with the phone's voice recognition, plus I would be able to actually use the phonebook that way. I'm thinking of just unpairing the phone and using a headset.

 

I have had this same problem with a RAZR2 and a Blackberry Pearl. However, my Samsung A900 voice recognition worked fine when paired. Is it a problem with the voice recognition software on RAZR/Pearl or with HFL? It feels like a bug with the new voice recognition software from Sprint as the Sammy worked fine...
