Using the phonebook--any way to dial by name other than using "List"?

So far the only two ways that I've been able to determine for dialing a number using the HFL are to tell it the number or to tell it "Phonebook" and then "List." Then when you use "List" it lists names in the order you entered them. It seems like there should be a faster way to do this--for example, if I want to call my brother, it seems like I ought to be able to say either "Call Terry" or "Phonebook Call Terry." This doesn't work, though. Anyone know if there is any kind of shortcut for this? I don't recall seeing anything in the owner's manual.

If you ever save "Bill Kingstowne" into your HFL phonebook, you could
  • Press button, say CALL
  • After HFL responds, press button, say Bill Kingstowne
  • After HFL responds, press button, say YES

Or

Press button and say "Call Bill Kingstowne". (Thanks. stocks2k)

You can also just hit the HFL button and say "Call Bill Kingstowne"

What about when you have two different numbers for the same person (i.e. cell and home)?

You have to add two different names. For example, Bill Kingstowne Mobile Phone & Bill Kingstowne Home Phone, etc.

That's how my old cell phone was set up: "Call Dad Home," "Call Dad Work," etc. Hmm, funny, I have the HFL set up the same way.

Usually I record names in phonebook as;

Bill = Cell
Kingstowne = Home
William = Work

nickname = Cell
lastname = Home
Real first name = Work

Please do not ask me if you have same last names or two Bills as friends etc. I do not have them.
