Using handset with Bluetooth ON

If I have the Bluetooth turned on on the phone and in the car, is there an easy way to disable the Blutooth so I can make a call using my handset and then turn it back on when I have completed my call? (I am using a Sony Ericsson T637)

Push the <PHONE TALK> button on the steering wheel and say "transfer". Works both ways (from handset > car and car > handset (but when going from the handset callers will hear you say it)).
