I just spent a nice evening installing the USA Spec PA15-HON3 in my '06 Nav 6MT TL.

In the process, I found a few things that concerned me a little bit. Here's the main one:

There is a white wire tapped into the parking brake wire with a vampire clip. Any ideas what this would be for? I've seen this done for a car with a turbo timer installed, but that is obviously not the case. I don't know if it could be related to a remote-start system but the car is a 6MT. Or maybe an alarm? There is some type of aftermarket alarm on the car, and there is a lot of wiring under the dash that does not look stock. Not sure why an alarm would be wired to the parking brake though.

I knew someone had been inside the console before, because the side panel on the passenger side was not right. There was a gap between the aluminum trim and the side panel on that side. They had reassembled it wrong which I've now fixed and eliminated the gap.

 

It could likely be a remote start system. For some reason there was a belief among some installers that tapping into the parking brake would remove the "neglect" from a driver who doesn's know that a 6MT shouldn;t have remote start. In effect, if the parking brake was on, the car would be allowed to remote start, where as if the parking brake was disengaged, it would kill the remote start.
