upgrade my TL to a Navigation

I just purchased a 2005 TL and can I just say - it is a superior car!! I Love it.

It is a non-navigation TL - my question is can I upgrade it to have a navigation system. for example, if I purchased a navigation system from ebay (one that was removed from a TL) could I install that in my TL and will it work? is my TL already designed to accept a navigation?
Thanks in advance all,

Jon

Has anyone attempted to do this? I am fairly good at taking things apart and putting them back together. How difficult is this? I think I may just have to take a stab at it.

Yeah there's quite a few threads on non-navi to navi swaps. do a search and you'll find them. It can get fairly complicated and there's more to it then just swapping screens. You'll need to do wiring mods, get the lcd screens, hopefully you buy a navi that has the pigtails attached to it. good luck.

consider a portable gps that can be cheaply upgraded or replaced when desired, they are down to $100-300 for nice units.

If your unit has a dvd disc more than 2 years old, it needs the new one or you own house may not be on the map! the nav disc are $150-$175 and available ONLY thru acura-via alpine

No you cant buy new current newest release of the disc on the bay- no you cant copy someones and use it either~
