so the manual says to "remove the bulb from the socket by pushing it in and turning it counterclockwise until it unlocks"

anyone done this had trouble turning it? I am using a significant amount of force but I don't want shattered bulb all over me.

I changed mine out about a month ago and don't remember having a problem. I have a '05 so i'm not sure if there's any difference. I don't recall having to push it in either...i think I just turned it.

i dont know if there is some sort of locking mechanism that makes it impossible to remove the bulb if you have unplugged the connectors (which i did).

if true, that doesn't seem like a great design feature though
