This is the IPod holder that fits in your cupholder.

Thinking about getting this (for my IPod Mini), but I have a 6MT. Will it be in the way when I shift gears or is it negligible?

I too have a 6MT and do not think it will be in the way of shifting gears even if you keep the holder in front cup. However, you'll have to rotate it to face the rear of the car, facing front might be in a way a little. Upper Cup will be more appropriate.

 

I have a question for you. How are you connecting your Ipod to you factory system? Are you using an FM modulator?

Unfortunately, yes. With the navigation issue and all...I figure this should hold me over until they have a fully integrated system for the Nav.

I was debating between the tape cassette, but I think the wires would annoy me too much. I've read reviews that where I am in NJ the FM modulator is pretty good so I plan on picking one up tonight.
