Transfer T720 Phonebook to V710 Using....

Broke down and bought the v710 at Radio Shack yesterday. Is there a way to move my T720's phonebook to the v710 using the T720's software/USB cord? I'd hate to pay $30 to Radio Shack (joke) to move the names/numbers.

Thanks.

BJ

BJ - I believe the answer should be "Yes", but I'm not familiar with the T720. Does it use PhoneTools?

Also, do you have the latest version of PhoneTools? I have Version 2.21b. If you need to find out how to get the latest version, let me know.

PS: Couldn't wait for the RAZR? Slacker.

I'd love to know the answer too.

I have the data cable that allowed me to synch my T720c with M$ Outlook. Does the V710 come with such a cable or is it available? I can just as easily transfer directly from my PC if that's the case.

Regards,

Have you tried a Verizon owned retail location? They may be able to do the transfer for free as a customer courtesy.

That is correct. Go to any Verizon retial store and they'll transfer for free. Last time when I transferred mine from StarTech to T720 the sales guy told me if it's same manufaturer then they can do it.

As for PhoneTools, check your PM for my reply.

As for the Razr....figured I could always sell the v710 later in life for a good price and not have to wait yet another xx months to finally enable the Bluetooth functionality in the car.

I had the t730c and went to VZW.. They wanted to charge me $10 dollars to do it at first... However once I showed him the phone I wanted to move them to I became a god to them.. We got to chatting and he told me not to worry about it... If you have phone tools it can also be done however I am not sure of the process. I am sure if you play with it or call Motorola you can get it done.

Welcome to the v710 club.
