TL Sound Vs Audi A4 Bose Sound

I'm planning on leasing a TL soon -- Although the A4 was a pretty close second choice. I heard the sound in the A4 - it's brilliant! The Bose system really kicks -- even at very high volumes the bass and treble maintain integrity. But I wasn;'t sure of the sound in the TL -- from the brief few moments I heard the radio blare in a TL - it didn't sound all that nice - but then again - you cant really tell audio performance with listening to radio!

Comments anyone?

Not sure about the Bose in the A4 but the ELS blows the Bose in my former A6 away. I suggest taking a few of your favorite CD's along with you on your test drives. Only you can decide wich you like best.

If you are use to aftermarket systems, the ELS system will sound to low. It takes a while to get use to it. But the sound is clean and clear. Just my opinion. By the way which a4 are you looking to get 1.8t or 3.0. just curious.

Good thing you are buying the TL b/c my friend has an 2004 A4 and he had to bring his car in to the dealer twice b/c the speaker was making some popping noise. Another time, he had to bring it in b/c the disc wouldn't come out. Too many problems with that A4 car. I wouldn't touch it!!!!!

For clean moderate level listening, you can't beat the ELS system with a DVD-Audio disc playing. But if you just want to crank a regular cd or listen to XM, Bose is what you want to have. Other than not having all-wheel drive, not installing Bose is the only downfall of the TL.
