Hello. I am interested in getting navi on my 05 tl. What i was planning on doing was, just getting a TL with navi housing, without the actual navi screen. And then just get an aftermarket navigation screen and putting it in there. What do you guys think? Where can i find this housing / frame?

Junk Yard........... 'cause the dealer doesn't sell it seperate....

Just use the frame you already have in the car... 'cause you're gonna have to move the LCD screen somewhere else anyway (screen that displays temp. volume, bluetooth, etc)...

oh.. so no matter what im still gunna have to keep those two screen i already have on there?

 

yep, the climate controls are run through the Navi DVD drive or though that audio screen on the Non-nav TL's. If you want a nice clean look, you could do what one member did and get the NAV tl clock display with temps, rig up a spare nav screen to show the temps up there and hide it behind the dash, this way you won't see that huge unit and the temp will still be displayed.
