Those w/o ipods - howd you connect your mp3?

ditching my ipod and picked up a new htc droid incredible. question is: how do i now hook it up to the stereo?

I still have the PAC ipod adaptor that i used for my ipod. this was nice. I know it has a headphone plug option that I can use to connect anything with that jack.

What is everyone here using?

All options I can think of are the option I listed above and FM transmitters.

an additional option which utilizes the headphone aux jack is hooking this up to a bluetooth a2dp reciever and wirelessly connecting this to my phone. this would be nice, but I havent yet found a reciever that will auto connect to the phone. you have to hit the power button everytime. any suggestions there?

I have an HTC EVO and I just plug it into the same AUX cord that I plugged into the Ipod. It works fine. I have an EVO car charger that I plug into the 110V outlet inside the armrest compartment and route the cable through the slot in the armrest with the AUX cord.

There are numerous solutions to your problem. All of them are outlined in the 3G Garage here:

Check the Audio section. You can also find the Audio FAQ as a sticky post at the top of the Audio section.
I use the Blitzsafe adapter to connect my player. Installed one in my gf's Accord and she loves it.

I dont really have a problem per say...

I was just wondering if people are:

a) using an auxiliary input
b) fm transmitter
c) aux input + bluetooth a2dp

aux input is cheapest and easiest way.. i dont see any other reason why you would want it any other way.. unless you can get it wireless..

only reason why most people get the isimple or other units like this is because it allows u to control the ipod from the steering wheel and see the music info on the screen.. but i only have seen units like this for the ipod..

yea, id really like to see a bluetooth setup, but every adaptor I have seen shuts off and will not auto connect without turning it on or something. might as well just plug in the phone at that point.

the search goes on...

aux is the way to go imo. bluetooth has too many things that can spaz out and aux quality is good enough- easy enough to use as well
