For those trying to listen to MP3s on 04 TLs
Or any TL for that matter, I hope this is new information for owners.
But you guys do know we have a cassette player in our TL's?
I think Honda put it for a good reason, not just for us old Cassette fans. But also because for those that have MP3 players, IPOD, or 3rd Market MP3 players. You can easily buy a cheap 9 dollar Cassette to Mp3 connector that allows us to play our MP3s using the cassette players input. It will sound the same as if it were from that expensive DICE modification thing. Plus you dont have to do any work.
Thats what I will be doing when I get my 04 TL. Hopefully this helps others.

I was able to play MP3s on in factory unit.. sometimes.. I found that I had to have the files under the root folder and not in sub folders for them to play. Then, at other times, the discs wouldn't play. I used that DVD-A (MP3 to WAV to DVD-A)converter program by Adobeman to put them on a DVD-R and they played quite well.

its really not that bad. i was using this for about 1 1/2 years, that is until i installed my USA Spec this weekend, but it is a much better choice than using an FM transmitter.
but as far as FR4NCH1SE's statement about it being the same as the DICE...it is not the same, at all. ok, so i dont own the DICE, but its close to what i own. but for $9, its a pretty decent option.

I think this is a valid option for those that are wanting to save dinero as I did this in my old civic as well...but Dice and all the other integrated systems allow more functionality such as information display on the screen, steering wheel controls and volume limiter when a call comes in through the HFL.
