Has anyone installed a tablet where the clock is located? Something similar to how the newer Acuras have their upper infotainment screen mounted. I've done multiple searches and wasn't able to find anything.

 

you mean on the upper dash? are you planning on fabricating a new dash ? How big of a tablet are you thinking?

 

Yes on the upper dash. Wasn't planning on doing any fabrication. Probably the classic 7 inch in landscape.

 

How would that even fit?

There is like no space where the clock is. I think you're mistaken.

 

I think he wants something like Mazda or Mercedes has, where screen is sticking out at the top. Might be not a bad idea, just harder to make it look stock than "standard" way.

If you decide to try, get something better than Nexus 7. Hardware from 2013 is starting to show its age.

 

I'm not going to lie: that looks terrible. But to each their own.
