system went out! need some help

Hey guys I finally had my system installed today in my TL. I went with JL C2's for my interior speakers, w6 for the sub, hd900.5 amp, and jl cleansweep. We wired the cleansweep after the factory amp, which then ran to the JL amp.

After installing everything we tuned the system and everything was fine. After about 5 min the sub went out. When we took a closer look at it, it was cutting in and out, but it was very faint. My shop decided that they were going to order another sub and send back the one I have now which is fine with me.

On my way home the interior speakers were working fine. I then decided to stop and get something to eat. When I returned to my car and started it again there was no sound coming from the speakers at all, everything was silent. The only speaker that was working is my center channel.

I plan on going back for him to check out what happened. Im thinking it could be the fuse for the factory amp, but am not sure. Does anyone have any ideas what is going on?

Im thinking its a fuse, but the jl amp is on, im not sure about the cleansweep tho. I would think it because the remote wire for the jl amp and tapped into the power wire for the cleansweep.

I actually dont have connect. I first had it connect to set the master volume then unplugged it. Could that be the reason why I dont have any sound?

Alright I was able to get everything to work again. Turns out I have an issue with the cleansweep. First theres a white noise issue I'm having even if the radio is off. Second whenever I calibrate the cleansweep it wont save the setting when I start the car next time. For example only my front speakers will work and not the rears. Has anyone ever had a problem with their cleansweep from jl?

I haven't but have not heard great things about it in comparison to the 3sixty.2 from Rockford or the Audiocontrol EQS. I have a thread about some bad noise I was picking up from my oem amp. Bad alternator whine etc...So now I ran everything directly from the headunit to an audiocontrol matrix (line driver) and back to my amps.
I sent the matrix back today because I felt I paid too much for just a line driver when I could spend a few more bucks and up to the EQS which is a line driver with an equalizer.

Glad you figured out your problem but I'll be tuning in to figure out which to get myself...to boost signal from the headunit AND to equalize sound.

I was actually debating about going with the 3sixty.2 but thought I it was be nice to have a whole JL set up. Hopefully with the new cleansweep it will take care of my current problem and will fix my white noise I have right now.

I've never been as in tune with my system as I am now...but DANG...noise is an MF'er to find and fix.
I can tell you that the ground loop isolators that crutchfield sell are in there right now eliminating the bad white noise I have from boosting my amp up since I have a lack of voltage to the signal wires.

Not bad for 30 bucks.

I still have couple of ground loop isolators from when I used to work at Circuit City. If theres still the white noise ill put them in. How are you liking your EQS?

Ground Loop Iso's will not fix the background...or whitenoise...check gains on your amps...and adjust accordingly
