Strange thing this morning - my XM reception was on/off all the way to work (more off than on). I though maybe something was up with my TL, but when I stopped at Starbucks their portable XM receiver (which is on display) also had no signal (it usually does).

It's overcast here today (very high clouds). Other than that, I can't figure out what could be causing the signal degredation.

Anyone else experience this this morning (I'm in the Northeast - not sure if location matters).

I had the same thing! I'm in the midwest, perhaps something is up with XM's signals today.

Solar Flares from the sun. Mine is doing the same thing, a couple of days ago there was a solar flare it was the 4th largest in a while.

I had the same issue and thought it was my I-Pass (Illinois Toll) that I put on last night. I was about to post a question about XM and I-Pass and then I see this thread. And my concerns were resolved.

Same here.....located in Iowa. The Sports station were fine, but the 80's was bad.

WTF...I've had the same problem the last 2 days and I'm from Cali. It happens when I turn the car on but after a while it goes away.

You guys are right on target. I'm surprised XM does not tell us when solar activity is affecting service.
