Subs on Stock Amp Signal Tuning
Hey guys,
Just a quick question. Currently running my subs off stock sub wiring with the stock amp signal.
Was just wondering if anyone knew a good range to set my input voltage on my amplifier.
Also I have an LOC which I have not used I was highly doubtful but this will probably not up my sound quality in anyway using it correct? I eventually plan on getting a JL cleansweep or something of that sort and removing the stock amp later but thats way down the road.

Depending on your amp, you might be able to wire the speaker wires directly and skip the LOC. What kind of amp do you have? The signal in the trunk (post-amp) is pretty strong and you won't need to adjust the gain very high.
You don't need a cleansweep for this car. If you are going to do a complete stereo replacement, the pre-amp front signal is full range and pretty flat already - some amps might need it boosted, but some do not.

My only issue is I feel like I have very little control over the volume of my subs. If I turn them down it goes down but if I turn it up from 0 to +6 I barely notice a difference. My subs are also much louder at lower volumes then in my old car which I don't like.
