Sub Info
Sub Info
I want to replace the sub in my 07 TL/S. We just got it a week ago and it seems as if the stock sub is blown. I'd rather just drop something in without having to change the amp or anything else. Does anyone have any info on this? I have been on this site and google for about an hour trying to figure something out and finally decided just to ask.
Thanks!
Thanks!
if you search from drop-in sub replacement, you will come up a plethora of information. To give you a heads up, they won't sound that great unless you add an aftermarket amplifier and add sound deadner to the rear deck and pillars.

If you're trying to keep it simple your best bet is to just go to the dealership and buy another one. Check your connections though to make sure it's connected and also make sure you're "subwoofer" setting isn't at "off".
Can some one please post details on how to run the OEM sub and after market sub that will have it's own amp from the same audio source. I don't have my after market sub or a custom encloser from unlcad4 that will run on a 900watt amp but I thinken it may be nice to be able to run both or one or the other and could turn the after market amp/sub off when I want.
Thanks for the tip! I made an appt. with the dealer on Tuesday and they are replacing the woofer under warranty Friday! I wasn't sure if I'd have to fight for it. Thankfully they were really nice and I was in and out of there.
