Hey guys I'm planning on installing my JL 1000v2 and one of my still intact rockford punch 3s (12") this weekend in my TL. My only hurdle is finding a suitable place to breach the firewall in an '08. I've read DeathtoToasters install thread and I believe I'm looking at the same grommet he's referring to, except I'm certain it's in use on an 08. Here's what it looks like from the engine.



There doesn't appear to be anywhere else where I can pass through, so I'm guessing Ill have to cut this grommet and try and feed the 4 gauge power cable through it. Here's the inside under the dash where I BELIEVE the grommet is (Above and to the right of the gas pedal). If anyone could point me in the right direction that would awesome!



After I can confirm this is where I'll have to enter I'll go ahead with the rest of the install tomorrow and post up pics when I'm finished. Ill get the remote on from fuse #32, pop the back seats out to run the 4 gauge power and remote to the sub, and splice the signal cables at the grey connector going to the stock sub to feed directly into the 1000v2 with some RCAs.
