I've gone back to my dealership multiple times over the same issue... a light on my steering wheel went out. (mode button) and the VSA light went out at the same time. Went to the dealer, and said they fixed it, and that night while the mode button is fixed as well as the VSA light, NOW the "telephone hang up light" is out as well as the cancel light. and the "L/R mirror switch and heating" light is out.

I go back next day to have the issue fixed, and the manager gives me the feeling that i'm taking advantage of the situation and that they fixed it. (side note, they "fixed" the same problem on the same buttons less than a year ago...) and that he is "running out of goodwill help" but decides that he will take working switches out of a "used" car and put it in mine.

I decide the compromise is worth it and make an appointment to bring it back the next day.

Next day same service manager looks disgusted to see me, I leave my car there and wait for it. An hour later, they come back to me and tell me it's fixed. We try to see it under a blanket and the steering wheel lights are fixed, but the L/R mirror switch is still off. Power is going to the piece because when you click on the heating button, the light below turns orange, but ithe whole switch will not light up.

service tech tells me, "it's not supposed to light up.", "i changed the switch", "there's no light bulb behind it" and "it's supposed to be that way"

now maybe i'm wrong... but i could almost sware that all three of those (VSA, MIRROR, and L/R switch heater) ALL light up.

am i wrong?

if i'm not, can you take a picture and post... (cameraphone, whatever) so i show it to them and can have this fixed... abeit the evil eye and underbreath whispers of a trouble customer.

i'm so disillusioned with this dealership.

I admire their effort for customer service. I really believe they have intentions in the right place. But to make me feel bad because they offer to fix something, then "break" something else, and then tell me I am wrong is a little disingenuous.

please let me know if i'm going crazy everyone.

Your wrong on the mirror buttons. That is the only one that doesn't light up. Sorry to hear about the BS at the dealer.

 

I was going through the same crap myself before , every week i had to take it back to the dealer ! but the mirror buttons are the only ones that dosen't light up besides the heated mirrors.
