Storing Bluetooth Numbers w. pause

I know you can send numbers (passwords etc) after you are connected to a call. But I tried to see if the car would recognize the word "pause"..so I could send a string of numbers in one shot... and it did. And the display comes up like this 555-5555-555_1234 where the underscore is the pause. However, it will not even make this call when I store the number this way.

There doesn't seem to be anything about this in the TL manual...and I'm assuming you can't do it...but I'm wondering why the computer accepted the word "pause" but can't execute it.

What phone are you using? This is a known issue with the v710. It will reset its bluetooth stack if you send a pause from the HFL, which will result in the call never being placed.

The new firmware (either the beta Verizon or the "SuperDave") fixes this, but it also kills about 50% of the phones it's applied to, so be very careful if you go this route. Verizon is desperately trying to figure out why the kill-rate is so high, and once they do, they'll release the firmware nationwide. Don't hold your breath, though.

My T610 won't accept this command althought I successfully put into HFL system. I haven't tried my K700i with this yet.

i believe it was in the manual, thats where i learned of it, or in the quick start guide
i have the t610 and it works great, i thought the hfl was the one doing the pausing then sending more numbers to the phone so it shouldnt matter on which model phone

Ah yes...I have a V710...thanks for the info. When you say "kill"...it really destroys the phone?

No... I believe the HFL simply sends a "pause" command to the phone. The phone does the actual pausing. Like I said, this didn't work with the V710, but does with the firmware update, so that definitely shows that the HFL is not simply waiting 2 seconds.
