Ive seen some conflicting answers so can anyone confirm?

Front door and rear deck 2ohms

Front tweeters and center speaker 4ohms

Sub 2ohms

So what happens when I connect 2ohm speakers to a 4ohm connection from the amp?

 

Power of amp doubles. lets say your amp was 50 x4 4ohms, when u use 2ohm speakers its like having a 100x4 amp.

 

^isnt it the other way around? For example, you set the amp to 2ohms instead of 4 and power doubles. How does the amp know what speakers are set to?

 

Lil more info. I decided to upgrade the front door speakers, the center speaker and the front tweeters. I choose infinity kappa speakers which are all 2 ohm. I just wanted a little better SQ. Im still using the stock amp and I DONT plan on upgrading that.

 

Didn't know Infinity made 2ohm speakers. Regardless, you'll be fine.
