I just bought a 2008 TL and have combed the owner's manual with no luck.

Does the stock radio have the ability to display radio broadcast information? Wife's car shows song playing, group, raido station call name, etc on a constant scroll. Find it hard to believe with all this car's gizmo's it doesn't have this capability and I am just missing it.

The XM radio will display this info only one at a time though, it does not automatically scroll through.

I know what you are talking about, I had this option in my infiniti... Our cars don't have this...unless I've been living under a rock all this time....

the TL doesn't have this feature sadly enough, it has a cassette player, but no RDS information system

It's an odd omission from a car that is so fully loaded otherwise, but no they seem to have left RDS out of the audio package.

FWIW, with newer CDs it pulls up the title and track info and displays them on the audio screen.
