Does anyone know the stock specs for the factorys system?
I mean everything like, speaker location and size, wattage, factory amp wattage, sub wattage.... anyone?

How true....have a 2002 Jeep GC with 10X better sound.

 

I don't mean to kick the FAQ section because it typically answers all my questions, but the speaker section is pretty lame. In the ELS thread there are lots of bits of information, though not concrete enough to make me feel comfortable. The upgrade/install with pics is awesome, something I will be doing in the future.

What I believe he is asking, is specs that can help him properly match the speakers. Such as Pioneer does with theirs:

Sensitivity (Efficiency)

Mounting Depth

Though the only reason to do this is a direct speaker swap, I wouldn't recommend it if you can afford not to. I had a cadillac with 4 - 5.25" component w/ tweeters, and 2 - 6x9" 2 way speakers in the back. I swapped the 6x9s straight up and noticed a small improvement, then I went and got premier 5.25"s and changed all 4 doors out AND amp'd them - holy fuck.
