Stock AMp
Stock AMp
can anyone tell me how many volts u are getting from the stock amp. going from stock amp to 3sixty signal precessor i only read for the front channel like close to 5 VAC for the rear 3 something and for the subs around one. from what i see something is not right
The field effect transistors in any amp are current sources, not voltage sources. You can't just hook a regular multimeter up to the amp to measure the voltage because those cannot correctly interpret the multiple frequency components of the signal.
What you need to worry about is impedance matching, not voltage matching. The output impedance of the amp is the same as the input impedance of the speakers (between 2 and 8 ohms - don't know the input impedance of the stock speakers off the top of my head). If the input impedance of your signal processor is high, you'll need an impedance converter regardless of the voltage.
