I would like to remove the rear sub, and add a Jl audio 12w7 in its exact spot I know A lot of custom work will need to be done, a custom back dash, and so on. Is it worth it, Everything would appear stock even the existing grill would fit, just recess the sub down into the custom box. With my box sealed completely all the sound would be bounceing of the rear glass and comming forward, basicly the same principle that acura used just much more bass. Do you think that there would be so much pressure or bass that I would have to worry about the the back glass coming loose. I want to keep as much trunk space as possible. Please help any info would be helpful.

Do you intend to install the sub without upgrading the amp? If so, don't bother, just replace factory 8" with quality aftermarket.

 

To run the kinda sub I would like to run, the factory amp wouldn't put out near enough power. I would be running another amp.
