Stealth Cord

I just bought a Stealth cord for my 2004 TL
http://www.stealthcords.com/shop/pro...cat=279&page=1

Was wondering how I could get to to (+) and ground in the back of the mirror.

There is a video on the website of an install on a G35, i believe, and it seemed pretty straightforward. I was hoping it would be this easy on the TL

Why did you pay $15 for this, you could have connected to ignition and routed the wire through the A-pillar and the headliner, this is how I did mine, it took less then 10 minutes with soldering.

To answer your question, I've never taken the mirror apart, but it should have power and ground in it, not sure if it would be 12 volts though. You're just going to have to start carefully prying on panels to see what you can find.
Goodluck,
Justin

No stealthcord is WAY better. Why? You can tap power up top instead of routing it from below and it includes a necessary in-line fuse. Too many people just splice a telephone cord, cheap but not very smart. There is a thread here somewhere with an excellent pic, just search it. You can get power from behind the map lights in that panel. You can easily tap from the harness with no splicing and get "ignition on" power. I bought mine with a built-in mute button that I routed to my turn signal stalk. Invaluable!

BTW I think my stealthcord was too short (standard is 12") Custom order it to 14", they will make it like that for a couple $$ extra.

Do a search for "invisicord" or "invisicord.com". There's a DIY to get to the wiring up there.

That's cool, I just wouldn't spend $15 plus shipping to not have to route a wire 6 feet. But I have inline fuses and standard wire and I guess not everyone else does. The mute button is a nice perk.

It was actually $15 total, shipping included. I think it should work, just waiting for it to come in.
