Starting Problems

I have a 1996 Acura 3.2 TL and I am having problems with it starting some times. It seems that when I do short trips around town doing errands it starts fine. If I turn the car off after driving long distances it won't start up again until it cools down. It's definitely heat related because I don't these problems in the winter. If I open the hood and park in the shade it seems like there is a better chance of starting. I have replaced the starter and it doesn't make any difference......Any ideas...? I kinda think it may be a relay in the system.
