Thumbs up Sprint Samsung A920 - Works Great.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Sprint's Samsung A920 phone works well with the TL. Just make sure that the software is up to date (YK12), and the phone sounds and works well. Caller ID and signal strength are shown in the MID, no battery though. Overall, I'm very pleased.

My A920 doesn't show the Batt Life or Signal strength in the MID. Not sure how to check the version but it should be the latest one now.

Twisdit, look at www.handsfreelink.com
My A920 works fine in most cases, but droppes the call if it receives another one with call waiting.

My A920 didn't and it had the latest firmware. I dropped Sprint and got my V3M from Verizon and love it. Everything works properly.

A920 - Sprint

I am looking at getting the MM-A920 from sprint.

I see the last message update about compatibility was back Aug of 2006. Has there been any new firmware updates since the YK12 release.

Does anyone have it paried with an 2006 TL? Can someone confirm what is functional and what is not functional between the phone and the car MID or a TL06.

Phone A920 Sprint

Tl05 TL06 Feature
____ ____ Pairing/Linking Handsfree
____ ____ Calling Incoming
____ ____ Call Call
____ ____ Transfer Call
____ ____ Hang Up Call
____ ____ Waiting Manual
____ ____ Ring
____ ____ Tones Phone
____ ____ Data
____ ____ Connection* Receive
____ ____ Contact Phonebook
____ ____ Import Battery
____ ____ Levels Caller
____ ____ ID Signal
____ ____ Strength Roaming
____ ____ Samsung

Thanks

Red face

Okay, I know I'm gonna get flamed, but I have my asbestos ready! I waited two years for Sprint to come out with a bluetooth phone that I LIKED!

I lusted for the A920, but this forum saved me money... I figured, "Why spend the money for a phone that will not fully take advantage of the features of my favorite car?" So I did not pull the trigger and I continued to wait.

Now, the Sprint Sanyo Katana is out and works perfectly with the TL period end of discussion. I paired it the first time without the phone's manual just using the "Quick Reference Guide" in my TL.

EVERY FEATURE WORKS! Signal strength, battery level, call waiting, caller ID...everything./

Scrap the "Blade" and get a Katana.

Flame on!
