Sprint PPC-6700
Sprint PPC-6700
Just upgraded my PPC-6600 phone to a PPC-6700.
Although pairing with my '05 TL seems to work, calls are never routed through the car's audio system. I can use the voice commands to make calls, but they go to the phone. Likewise, incoming calls ring the phone, not the car.
Any ideas? I suspect this is a BT problem on the phone end. Jeez, you'd think they'd have BT figured out by now.

I also have an '05 TL.
My 6700 works for incoming calls which ring through the car and I can answer the call with using the HFL. However, I can not dial from the phone and have the car pick-up the call as I was able to with the 6600 and another LG phone.
My voice commands also will work through the car just fine.
It is very annoying not to be able to dial from the phone and have the car pick-up the call and be able to continue the call using the HFL.
I'm not sure what the issue is with your particular situation. Our cars and phone are identical.
???????????????????

You do need to check the box in the BT Manager to have the phone be "Open" to other devices. But it sounds like you paired it correctly.
I'm not sure why you're having the issues.
I'm waiting for Honda to upgrade their software so that it is more compatible with more phones and can display signal strength and battery. We should be able to take the car to the dealer and they would do a new software upgrade. Don't know if that will ever happen.
Good Luck.

Can't get voice
I have the sprint ppc 6700 and I pair it correctly with my 04 acura tl but when the phone connects, all I get is static. I can give voice commands properly. It dials properly but anytime it connects I just get fuzz.
Any ideas? I tried repairing. I tried resetting the 6700 but no go.
Any help appreciated

I've had the LG slide phone from Sprint which worked great with the car.
The only issue I have with the 6700 is the volume. It is very hard to hear. But otherwise, I love the phone. With my work, it's perfect to keep up with all the email.
Got my 6700 Thursday last week, and been having real problems with it dropping the BT connection. It will start to dial and then just drop. The phone is still connected, but at that point it will no longer talk to the car. It tells me that no BT phone was found.
I just did a hard reset on the phone and didn't do any of the registry hacks I had done before and hoping that it will help fix the problem. I did the reset last night and today it was OK. But if this doesn't fix the problem, it's going back.
I had my Moto V710 for a year and it never did this even once. To have the 6700 do it 2 out of 3 times I tried using it is pretty depressing.
BTW, I too have the problem with the big difference in the volume. If I turn it up loud enough to hear the conversation, the automated voice is ear shattering.
EDIT: Mine is the '05 TL.

Well the hard reset didn't help. It's still dropping the BT connection. I just cancelled and will be sending the phone back. Too bad, it was a great mixture of features. Maybe they'll get it worked out in a few months and I'll try again.
