Speaker ISSUE..HELP
Speaker ISSUE..HELP
hey was sup guys. heres the prob, when i drive my back left speaker makes a static noise when i hit bumps or the ride gets too shaky. weird thing about it is. the noise goes away if i lock and unlock the car. not a huge issue but its annoying having to lock and unlock car as I'm driving for static noise to go away. another thing. a speaker on the front passenger side began to do the same things. its only happened about twice though with the front passenger one. what kind of issue may this be? wiring?
Does it do the same problem in every Audio option (CD,Radio, etc.)
Have you tried isolating the problem; sound to only one speaker (the one you suspect is bad) at one time? Could be a loose connection.
also you didn't specify which MY TL you have;or if you have Aftermarket audio components?

it happens at any option, radio, bluetooth stereo, cd. etc. my tl is an 06 acura tl base automatic. and it only happens to the back left speaker, and happened twice or three in the front passenger one. thats why I'm wondering what can it be that now its happening to another speaker. and no aftermarket components. the owner before me did have a sound system but has taken it all off except for a capacitor (idk if thats how you spell it)
i would try disconnecting that capacitor first;im not sure how he wired it but that could be causing some issues. Especially if he has it hooked up to the stock amp, should be something to look into if you don't have use for it.

I would get down in the passenger kick and check the connections. Check for loose wires, etc. I'm wondering if that could be a bad ground also.

Thanks for the respond guys. so if its a bad amp that means that it can happen to any speaker not just one? because the rear passenger speaker on the left does this every time i hit a bump and occasionally i get the front passenger one and that sound doesn't go away even when i lock and unlock the car. im hoping to get a solution without taking it to a shop. maybe it could be bad wiring? owner before me had a system but he removed it before selling, all thats left is capacitor.
I would remove the panel and look over the amp. Maybe a wire has come loose or something.
I have the static on all of my speakers on all the inputs so I'll probably end up buying a new amp. They aren't cheap

CLtotheTL32- I'd go with a separate amp and just hide it. Plenty of amps that will fit under the seat(s), behind the liners in the trunk, etc. Not sure if you lose the HFL voice and Navi voice if you just remove it all together though.

^Yep.
So I just went out to my car and checked everything out. Everything looks like it's in place; no loose wires or anything.
I only have static when the car is running. If the key is turned to the first notch (battery) or the second notch (start), the sound is perfect. As soon as the motor is turned on, the static is there and is only gone when the volume is turned down to 0.
Any ideas?

So bad ground with factory amp? why not trace down the ground? Or is my thinking not logical here?
Zeus - I would also take the door panel off and make sure that your speaker has come loose from the baffle or something. Maybe what you're hearing is something moving when you hit a bump big enough. With reflections in the car environment, there's not telling EXACTLY where it's coming from or what the sound is unless it's decently loud. Taking the door panel off is super quick too.

thanks dude but idk if you can tell by the video that its not something moving and more likely wiring gone bad. and probably when i hit a bump it causes the bad wiring to move which makes that staid noise and when i lock and unlock the car is moves it back? its happened on more than just one speaker also as i've said before, the left rear passenger and front passenger one. I' think what these guys are suggesting is the issue, bad grounding.
