Question Soundgate AUX3 Installation

I am just finishing up my Nav --> DVD installation (with Blitzsafe and SoundGate AUX3) and have a small problem....anyone have some input?

Everything looks good and works good, but doesn't sound good. When I hook my ipod directly to the blitzsafe inputs (in the trunk) it sounds great. HOWEVER, when I wire the sounds through the Soundgate AUX3 adaptor the iPod (and DVD) sounds is muffled, lower quality. My first thought was interference with the wires going to the trunk....but then why would the direct hookup (in the trunk) sound fine? Anyone have similar experience? My trunk it torn apart and I would rather solve the problem before pathching it up.

PS: The video (via Doms NavtoDvD contraption works awesome)

Any updates on this? Did you manage to solve your problems? What year is your TL?

I'm trying to figure out the best solution for Dom and 2+ Aux-In for an '06. I've been reading threads and it seems Blitzsafe has issues with just the '06, but works fine in the '04.

Aux In Solution

DATMRMAN,

I don't make any money from endorsing...I am just one happy customer. I just installed the PIE x3 in my '06 TL about 3 weeks ago and I have had NO issues with it. Sound quality for dvd movies is cd quality and even simulates surround sound via the dvd player. Switching b/w each aux input is seamless and there is very little bleed through of the XM (can hear it only if the volume is up around 35 or so). Seems like people are having issues with other converters when used in the '06 but the x3 has had none in my '06. You should consider purchasing this unit instead...you won't be dissapointed! Also, navigation plays through sound as well as making/receiving calls. Best factory integration solution I have found.

Ordered all the parts from logjam. 59 for the PIE x3, and 29 for the y adapter harness for our car. About 97 shipped.

I took out the soundgate and sent it back for a credit.
I have an '04 and the Blitzsafe works fine...well it had been. I have been having sound quality issues of recent. But my wires are set up kind of funky so I have to do some troubleshooting before I piss on Blitzsafe. (I ran patch cables to trunk, used pigtails to connect DVD player AND ipod---worked great in the beginning)
