which sound processor to get?

Well i finaly convinced my friend to do a stero in his 08 accord ex modle. An well he wants to keep the factory look. an i was wondering what sound processor to use for this task.

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_136441D...p.html?tp=9631

We sort of want to use the mtx one to keep the cost down. But im not sure about how good it is from some reviews about the regular one.

also how would i get the remote turn on for the amp to work? do i run a power cable from the h.u to the amp?

the cleansweep from JL and the 3.sixty from rocksford fosgate are pretty good from what I hear from a few people. Your best bet would be to wire the factory turn on to the processor, and then you can take that and put it to the amps

Would you install the 3 sixty after the stock amp, or take out the stock amp altogether?

Also, does the sound processor get rid of that hissing sound that is present when aftermarket amplifiers are hooked up to the stock head unit?

Alpine imprint EQ...would be a great processor...doesn't suffer the noise that the 360.2's have a slight issure with...and does auto eq for a good baseline...mtx req doesn't do a whole lot other bass restoration...i do personally use one myself as that i'm an anti eq individual myself...using my rta on the stock system i noticed that the factory system doesn't really apply a whole lot of eq to the mix...depends on what he would like to
do with the system...what are his goals...listening tastes..ie music choice and volumes!??!

The stock amp has that hiss so anything after it just amplifies it .... ive listend carfully when i connected my speakers directly to the stock amp and its present just not as loud.... so i guess avoding it would be to lower ur gains a little or bypass the stock amp... the best option of course would be a nice clean aftermarket unit

he wants more bass. an a bit better quality of sound which i plan to do with changing the front to alpine type s 6.5 an leaving the back stock so he still gets the boom from the back an save trunk space... gotta keep it under 450 xD

+1 I still can't get used to the amount of adjustment the 3Sixty.2 has, as well as the quality of the sound when it comes out of the amps. I'm very happy with it.

The 3Sixty is an OEM Integration component that's designed to work with the stock head unit and amp. You would install it after the factory amp and before the aftermarket amp(s). It also does a great job of flattening out the signal so the amps have a clean, flat signal going into them.

I still have a bit of a hiss. It's VERY faint, but I still hear it. It goes away completely at volume 2 and up.

Thanks Trew, that answers my questions. ChicoOG says that his zapco sound processors don't have any hissing. Who knows...

I love my 3Sixty.2... now if I could just figure out how to tune and I'd be good! But to the OP, if price is an issue try finding a Tweeter that's going out of business. One near me had a JL Cleansweep and Alpine Imprint going for around $150.

Try muting all zones of the sound stage and then unmute one zone and adjust the sound. Do the same for the rest and then turn on all zones and fine tune.

I got my 3Sixty.2 for $285 sealed and shrink wrapped

Thanks for the advice, I'm gonna try that tonite! I got my 3Sixty.2 dirt cheap, infact I got my 2 amps and processor for under $600. Everything was authorized and brand new, I couldn't pass that up.

Has anyone tried the audiocontrol epicenter plus? it's an OEM interface processor, you tap into your rear speakers and also has aux output. if you just want to add a sub and amp
