Sony Ericsson T637 phone confirmed

Relacement for T616. Great phone. Connectivity with TL is outstanding. (AT&T is provider)

Can't imagine driving a car again without XM or bluetooth. (Luckily a 6mt with Navi wasn't available or I'd be spoiled forever...)

That phone has been available for a few weeks now. I was considering getting it but now I'll wait until August when Cingular is expecting the Nokia 6320. I've always prefered Nokia's user interface over Ericssons.

T-Mobile

I had been using this phone with T-Mobile (SF Bayarea) for a few days and am happy with it. It works really well with the TL using blue tooth. Some of the user interface features such as phone book organization is better than Nokia, but not so good in other areas.

The Original T610 had many Reception problems because of firmware, but it was one of the most popular phones, it was a craze for that model, and this T630 has the better TFT Screen and Looks a lot better.

Only T-Mobile will get the Black T630.

I am converting my T610 to the Black T630 next week, Will take pictures

... Even for those that have the T610 and want something with better reception, the T616 and T637's reception is much more solid. This is because with having the antenna search for 850mhz, it emits 2 more extra watts of power thus improving overall signal strength. I used to use a T616 and then bought a K700 and just sold that. All of them paired fine. The girl I'm dating now uses the T637 (courtesy of moi ) and I have a P900.

The T610 was designed for Europe IMO. One of my friends travels to the UK quite a bit and everywhere he went when he had the T610, he would have full signal. THE phone that I would recommend to use with the TL at the moment is the T637. For those of you on T-Mobile, don't worry because the phone comes unlocked and I would recommend the Cingular version. If you want to get all the Cingular customizations taken off (cingular internet, etc), inquire within.

Do you know of any Bluetooth phones that also interface with Microsoft Outlook to allow me to download my calendar and phone number? I don't need full PDA capability, just a (smallish) bluetooth phone that I can use to read my calendar and contacts (don't need to edit anything, just read).

Thanks,
Mark

If you need just a bluetooth phone that syncs up to Outlook, the P900 does that but you lose handsfree profile to link up to the TL. I know the T637/T616 can sync phonebook but not sure about the calender.

T537 can sync both phonebook and calendar with outlook, I did it on my T637.

Awesome! Thanks for the update, I was about to try it out on a T637 but now I won't have to.

TL Bluetooth Using SE T637 Phone book Dialing?

Could anyone use TL Bluetooth to dial T637 phonebook? It seems like the car maintains its own phonebook. This takes twice the effort to program both the car phonebook and the phone address book and keep them in synch.

It would be nice if could dial out using your phones phonebook but I don't think its possible. I know in the Lexus LS430 you can transfer the phonebook from the phone to the car but even then you're not using the phones memory. You are still using the cars phonebook, it's just easier to set up.
