I've seen some pics where the title of the song is listed on the radio..seems like when a cd is being played and this is on non-navi TL's. I have a non navi 06 and whenever I put the cd in it only lists the track # and no name...How can i get the radio to list the song? Is this a mod? Sorry for asking a d*mb ??? but I just got my TL not too long ago.

 

I wish our TL's listed CD songs titles but unfortunatly they don't. What you are seeing in pics is the XM radio listing the song title or artist.

 

The 07's have CD text.

 

What sucks about the '06 TL is that it doesn't support RDS. I mean even a Ford Focus station wagon has RDS built-in. Wonder why Acura never bothered to include that feature. Not sure if the 07s faired better.

 

Actually, I have an 07, and that's not true. Wish it were true. If you have proof that the 07's have CD text, maybe I can't figure out how to display it. I don't get them.

Word. My 2000 BMW supported RDS. Don't know why Acura couldn't include it. It's not in the 07.

 

My 07 Tl-S has CD text, I think the info has to be included on the CD for it to show on the screen. The CD's that I have burned have the Song Name and Album Name displayed on the screen, but some of the CD's that I bought from the store don't display any info.

And Yes, I also wish Acura would have included RDS for our radios.

 

I cant tell if it was XMradio but it didn't seem to be. Yeah it blows not having cd text. Would def love this on my car. I tried with both burned cd's and original cd's and none provide the text.

my 2006 acura CSX has cd text and it can play mp3 and wav but my 2006 tl can't play mp3 can;t play wav and no cd text too

 

From what I have seen, most purchased audio cd's do not have CDTEXT so I would assume this is why Acura hasn't implimented it. Its not really a standard. Although I wouldn't mind it =]

 

Well the proof is to look at the head unit in your car. If I remember correctly you should see "CD Text" on it. Like another has said the CD has to have it on it as well. But it sounds like it's sparse.
