Sometimes Siri plays thru my HFL?

I have my iPhone 4s connected to my TL. It sometimes works through my HFL? Any way I could change the settings, to say my music?

As far as I know, the HFL system operates as a phone only feature. Because Siri is so tightly tied to the iPhones UI, I'm guessing it misinterprets the HFL's requests as phone call content.

I added a blitzsafe auxiliary kit and a Belkin Bluetooth car kit. plays my music wirelessly. It works really well with Siri. However, the Bluetooth that's built into these cars is very low quality. Streaming would sound terrible, and Siri would sound awful. Also the mic in the car is of lesser quality than that of the phone, resulting in misinterpreted commands.

TL;DR: The car's HFL system is not good enough technologically speaking to do everything that today's smartphones are capable of.

That would be phone dependent. I've had some phones that will beep through the HFL when I get a text, some won't. If Siri can talk through the HFL, you can probably get music through it but only if the phone allows it and of course it would have to be during a phone call so I really don't see a way to do it with our HFL.

Now that I think about it, my friend had a phone that would play music over the phone line so that would probably work but you better have unlimited minutes lol.

It's weird. I never have to hit the HFL button. I just hold down the iPhone button, then the duh duh plays thru the car speakers, and I say my command and siri fails to do it haha. She can hear me, understand what I said, but she just says sorry.

im on IOS6 beta 2 and its got alot more features(siri) and when you hit siri the option to connect via Bluetooth comes up and i got it to connect twice on my factory Bluetooth before disconnecting shortly after. So maybe when ios 6 is in Goldmaster(final) release it might actually work
