Solution to FM Modulator!!! (not blitzsafe)

I have the avelectornics stuff, and the dvd player with FM modulator

as you know the sound is less than desierable at times, so I bought a Cassette tape adapter (ya know the kind that has the wires) and ran it into the tapedeck and tucked the wires away.

its ugly, but we only use it on the long trips.

Yes of course, the sound is not as good as Im hoping that the blitzsafe adapter will be so, ill wait for it to come out and install it.

in any case, the sound is MUCH better compared to the FM modulator.

does this help anyone, or is this a repost?

Jerky i had this exact idea, if lets say i was planning to do something like u did. Good to know the sound beats an FM modulator. Also i was wondering, do u actually use the conversion that much since u got it, or does the fun (playing dvds all the time) fade away with the passage of time. Do u think it was worth the money u spent on it? Just doing some analysis. Thanks.

....its faded away...yes...

not quite as fun as first week

besdies, i dont watch it as the driver, its really for my fiance' as she is usually the passenger...

so, in order to do a cost benefit analysis, you will really need to thinkabout how much it will be used...

if you only are going to use it once in a while...it may not be worth it.

I will say that I spent the money I spent on it was worth the first week alone. I went to on a 8 hr drive for Turkey day one way and being able to watch dvd's (the driver didnt watch naturally) was a HUGE plus and made the time fly by that much better.

I think it is money well spent. I too have the FM modulator and don't like it at all, although I am using a Wireless one and it is VERY far from the antenna right now and I am getting a lot of static.

I have gotten a few suggestions to use a hardwired one and place it really close to the antenna itself to get better reception and that might be the trick to it.
