A solution to the AUX-IN issue?

Hi guys,

I just found this on autotoys.com:

http://www.autotoys.com/x/cust/produ...cat=101&page=1

It says it's compatible with 2004+ Acura TLs and it is even compatible with system with Navigation.

Do you think this may the answer at long last??

It's friggin' expensive in my opinion, but maybe it's the solution we've been looking for for iPod and DVD-IN issues...

What do you all think?

I've emailed autotoys.com to ask them if this will definitely work in 2004+ Acura TLs.

It says it won't work with XM installed, so it wouldn't work. As far as I know, XM is INSTALLED in every TL. It may not be activated but it's installed.

will not work i you have XM active in your car. thats what that site said at least.

and I would gladly pay $80 to be able to add something like dvd-video to my car.

Hmmm... I have the Canadian TL which doesn't have XM, so I guess it'll work for me then... I'm still waiting to hear from them though.

Did you read the details?

For 2004+ Acuras and 2004+ Hondas. (for the 2003+ Accord/Element or the new 2004+ Acura TSX. Tsx AUX adapter! Hard to find!)

Gives you audio in via your cd changer port!

bonus! Our converter also allows you to plug in a Sony unilink 6 disc changer if you are not using the rca port. Get a RCA Switcher and get dual use of this thing.

REQUIRES OPEN CD CHANGER PORT.

****If your port is taken like for NAV, select AUX WITH NAV option from DROP DOWN which includes a Y cable for vehicles with NAVIGATION

If you are using a device like the XM COMMANDER, some XM tuners and external devices will exhibit noise because of a ground loop, buy optional ground loop to eliminate noise. The noise will exist only during when the car is on, usually happens with xm tuners, etc hooked up to the car directly for power.

**REQUIRES an OPEN CD CHANGER PORT. If your car has XM installed, it will NOT work since it is using the port.

The Summary includes the TL and the Details do not. The last line in the Details says it all.

my guess is, you could still use this, but you would have to have a switch where you could turn XM off...
