I just want to know if, lets say, I want to compare distances from my home to work between different routes. Something so simple can be don with the trip odomoter I know, but can it be done with the nav?

 

The are different ways the navi will make its route, i.e. Shortest distance, Easiest Route, Max/Min Freeways/Tollways.

If the navi maps out the routes you want to compare, then select one. Look in the top left of the map scrren and it will give distance and ETA. Now switch to the other route and do the same.

If the navi does not give you the exact routes you want, you can make it go that way by either first having a route to an intersection then home or by "ignoring/avoiding" certain roads then do as above with distance and ETA.

yes, i agree on the top left of the navi, if u arnt on a digitized road, a blue dotted line will appear on the road, showing the direction which 2 go and the distance in miles
