I have searched many, many threads and have not found the answer.

I just went from an 04 TL to an 05 TL with Navi. In the 04, I had a phone indicator with a signal strength indicator in the center console and the MID. In the 05 with navi, I seam to only have a phone in the upper display, but no signal strength indicator. Is this correct? Is there a way to have both in both locations?

Any information would be greatly appreciated!!

Um... I have an '04, and I don't have a signal-strength meter in the upper center display... only in the MID. The upper center display shows a phone icon only.

...unless I'm missing something.

 

I have an 04 with Navi with the signal in the MID and only the phone icon in the center display. Are there 04 Navi's with signal in both?

 

are you sure that wasn't the fan level you were looking at in the '04?

 

Sorry for the confusion, my 04 was not a navi. So, it had the split display in the middle and where the hvac was displayed, there was a phone with the signal strength indicator and RM indicator as well.

Now with the navi, I only have the phone, but no idicator or RM, etc. I liked the fact that I could see the signal strength and whether I was roaming or not without having to push the phone button and look at the MID.

Make sense?!

So, my understanding is that only the phone shows up in the upper display? Right?
