Sending Codes After a "Pause"

I have been setting up new phone numbers in my TL phonebook, and one of them was my work voicemail. One of the things I can do with my phone (SE T637) is dial the number, pause, enter the appropriate codes to "log into" my mailbox, with some additional pauses and then finally listen to the messages, all without having to press any keys. I am trying to mimic this with the TL phonebook, but have been unable to send additional key strokes after a "pause". Has anyone tried to do this, and if so, what is the trick? Thanks!

Thanks to other posts here, I was able to do this with relative ease. The trick is to record the string in pieces. First, record your voicebox number. Then add to the string the words "Pause, Pause". You will probably need to add additional Pause-Pause strings to time things properly. (My mailbox required 5 of these) Then, add a "star" or "pound" or whatever else you need to access your mailbox and/or voicemail PIN. When the string is complete, say "Enter".

kmtoner: I tried breaking it up between the actual phone number and the different codes, but I could not get the TL system to send the codes after the pause. For instance, I recorded the voice mail phone number as (333) 555-1212, then recorded two "pauses", then gave the TL system my voice mail extension (4444) with a #. What I have not been able to figure out is how to get the TL system to send the extension and #. It just sits there and never sends anything after the voice mail system picks up and says "Enter your extension". If there are other postings that detail this out, if you could point me in that direction, that would be helpful as well. I have not had much luck searching for this information, so any help you can give is GREATLY appreciated.

I had the same experience the first time I tried it. Then, I realized that the codes were being sent so quickly I could not hear them. You might try recording multiple pause strings to slow the TL HFL down. The string that works for my mailbox appears like this on the HFL display: "317-555-1212 -- -- -- -- -- *1234"
