Screen protector for NAVI
I did a search and came up with zip.. thought i'd ask. Does anyone know if you can put a screen protector over the NAVI screen.. so that those long female nails (along with other things) dont scratch it?
they have them for PALMs and the like..i wonder if that material would work?

Maybe a "car rule" that all female passengers with long nails are only allowed to use voice control?
You could try putting on multiple PDA screen protectors, but the display will become less clear as a result. All of the screen protectors I have used in the past added a layer of haze that was bearable, but not ideal. It'll also be a lot of work - and you'll get "lines" on your display along the protector edges.
If there aren't any sharp edges on the fingernails and the user is gentle (no jabbing) when selecting from the screen, there shouldn't be any problems. My mom's got long nails, and she hasn't scratched my touch-screen remote control yet after all these years.

Navi screen protectors
Strongengineering seems to have a whole bunch of Navi screen protectors. Although, I did not found one for 04 TL but the one for MDX seemed pretty close. Have ordered couple as they were only $3.95 a pop.

Re: This Protector is NOT good!
Got mine in the mail yesterday. Soon realized the same problem as you. I'm going to measure the navi and cut the plastic down to size. At least 2 sides will have the adhesive.

If it's anything like the screen protectors for PDAs, you DO NOT CUT THEM. You slide them underneath the plastic rim around the screen. This provides a tight fit and prevents it from sliding.

Bstrong Engineering.. GREAT PEOPLE!
I received the Navi Screen Protector yesterday, and in an earlier post said it was sized WRONG.. They most likely went by the "spec" number and not the actual VIEWABLE screen size (that we need).
It was about an inch too wide and about a 16th too tall.
Well, I called the Bstrong Engineering folks.. They were GREAT!
I remeasured the display on my car and gave them the measurements. They are going to send me a "test" one this week with the correct dimensions to see if it is perfect.
Then I will notify them...
So if you are planning on getting this.. WAIT..
If you HAVE IT like the previous poster, wait a few days and they will give you the correct size.
It was a PLEASURE dealing with these people... no voice mails.. and they just wanted to get it right...
The protector itself seems great.. it has glue ONLY arond the sides to stop sicking which is great (no glue all over the protector) and the glue is minimal so it will not damage the Nav screen.
It doesn't seem to take away anything from the viewing of the screen either.
The website again is www.strongengineering.com and the part number is AN700.
Wait til I test the new one until you purchase.
Incidentally, the measurement accross came to 6 13/16ths and wide was just a 16th of an inch too big.
This is a great company to take an interest in getting it right... all companies should be like this!
