schematic request. 07/08 TL door mirror electrical

Does anyone have a schematic to the door mirrors power harness? I need to follow the turn signal connection from the door harness all the way to the place where it gets its power from. I would like to tap into that(whatever it is) rather than make a cheesy tap off the fuse panel or hang off one of the other lights. I have the 05 HELMS book (both service and electrical) but not anything on the 07/08.
If you scan it, please scan large enough so I can read it. Come to think of it.. I wonder if the information I need is already in the 05 Helms? hmm oh well. if you have it, would be great to see it anyway.

Thanks!
Chad

Based on my 05 schematics and other posts.. I think K7 and K8 is where the turn signals should terminate.. And if you notice on the Under-dash fuse relay box, for K7 and K8 it says "Not Used". And for an 05 this wire may not exist, according to other posts. I will check tomorrow. Relay#33 and #27 under the dash operation all turn signals on left and right. There is another intermediary relay located under the hood that operates the front turn signals. If I want to make it as factory as possible, then I would tap off K7 and K8 and if I wanted to be really safe, then I would install another relay to power the door lights. BUt notice the rear turn signals do not have a 2nd relay or "intermediary" relay that operates them. They are just connected directly to the under dash relay. So it "may" be ok to follow that method and just tap off K7 and K8 directly. The rear turn signals are shielded though according to the diagram. Not sure why. Its just power. But notice the color code of the wire as well as the under-dash logical point. All point on 1 line are the same node logically. And left is red/blu and right is white. (no pun). haha I have not decided yet if I want to tap into the red circled area on my pics, or the green dots and run a wire.

BTW.. it would still be nice to compare the same schematics from the 07-08 models! So if you have them, please reply or post!
Thanks

I'm thinking now it may be better to tap off the rear lights for ease. I think most likely even on the 07-08 models, these mirror turn signal probably only use the main relay under the dash. So, no additional relay like on the front turn signals are needed. I also noticed on the rear left turn signal, those parrallel capacitors, and the shielding they have.. but notice thats only on an 04 model because its circled off with a dotted line. Plus the front lights have 2 functions. That may be why they use an intermediary relay. But as you know, the rears, nor the sides will use this "parking light feature, so, I think tapping off the rear's will be better. Plus, look at the location of the F connector. "On floor wire harness (left branch)" not bad. Thats easier than running up through the firewall and under the hood.

Well, we can forget about that K connecter and K7 and K8. Its for audio. Gee I should have started working on it first, before I posted. But I thought I could generate some ideas in advance. And I did, but anyway.. I got the drivers door panel off and looked at the existing connector, and the connector looks the same as SLIMTL's, but there are no extra wires that i can tell. There are 7 wires for movement and heating I suppose. And 2 solid black wires that are not on the schematic and its not in another place(I cant remmeber) but I found a number on one terminal of the connector section and it gave the color and "G601". And through the grapevine of about 5 pages from front to back in this helms manual, I found a picture of G601.. and its a web of black wires bolted to the floor. hahah They coulda just put GND or the ground symbol, but no... G601.
Anywho.. there are no other wires in the harness, dang it! So, I guess I'll be running a separate wire. I hate tapping wires. I dont really trust those crimp kind to last. And it can chew up the wire. I'm going to try and find the rear tail lights on the floor.

I just had a revelation. G means ground. G701 and G601 are also grounds. The number designates the location of the ground. Gee =)

I found the left rear turn signal and the right rear turn signal.

As noted on the schmatic, F6 red/blu = left and F10 white = right. Both wires have this little gray band. Not sure why. But its there on the wire.

btw, there are 2 red/blu's that I saw, and probably another white one too. So, you'll need a multimeter to poke through the insulation to test. I had my yellow ground wire pinned up with a small aligator clip left over from school.

By the way, totally disregard anything I said about K. I dont knwo what k7 and K8 would be used for on the relays on the schematic. And there is a K connector.. but that is for audio. So, i'm getting something confused there. This helms manual is literally all over the place. From front to rear. Photo's are in one section, connecotr s are in another section, and schmatics are in another section, so in order to get the full picture on a diagram, you have to flip around a lot. And you need to ear mark several pages for flipping back and forth. Crazy laylout.

I get my mirrors tomorrow.

Reload this page. I changed the pictures.

And it all works. Works great actually and I installed it as factory as possible. I drilled no holes to run any wires. I used an empty slot on the factory connectors and fished the wire on both side through the connectors in the door jams. I ran the passenger wire to the drivers side by the fuse panel as shown above. I used a wire hanger for every place I had to run wire. Also the mirror mounting nuts and bolts are bigger than my 05's. So right in the middle of this, I had to go find nuts. And I had to slightly drill out the existing mounting holes. The bolts were too big. I also noticed that the corners of the mirror (triangle shape) didnt really lay down too well, compared to my orginal equipment. I think maybe the rubber grommet is a bit more bulky. I think it will eventually sit down more so. I couldnt use the original rubber mounting grommet because its not the same shape. I will post pictures later. I am fixing to drive to Tulsa for the holiday. Maybe I'll take some pictures of it in Tulsa and post. My garage is not too big, nor too clean.. so I want to get it out before I take pictures and "show it off" haha
