Replacing the Sub

I want to replace the sub, do i need to replace the amp aswell?

I dropped in this 8" Pioneer Sub and added an additional 300W bridged amp to power it. The stock amp doesn't send nearly enough power to drive an aftermarket sub. Good luck with the instal though. I bit of a pain in the ass.
