I have seen people replace non-nav head units with carputers and aftermarket head units, but I'm unaware of anyone with nav that has replaced just the head unit.

Have you tried searching this forum with the keywords aftermarket and head*?

Good luck. No aftermarket company makes a dash kit for our car to change out the head unit and still have all of the surrounding area look stock. I have looked into this and at this point I don't think it's possible to do and also make it look good.

im replacing the factory unit with an alpine iva-d310 flip out dvd screen. ive already done a complete audio upgrade and have made the dash piece to trim out the radio with a sunk in plexi window with the acura logo etched into it and backlite with blue leds. i guess im going to just relocate the factory radio to somewhere else in the car. maybe the front pass footwell or in the trunk. i will have to extend about 45 wires to make this happen. i will have pics next week when i finish it.
