Removing nav completely to base setup....?
Has anyone ever removed their touch screen navigation setup and put a base setup in instead....my navigation disc drive went out and I feel the screen is useless....thinking about a double din setup below and have everything else work like factory minus the Navi......?

Yes, I removed the nav screen, and installed a base system. Modified that to fit a double din about half way up where the original nav screen was.
This was in testing phase, and before I finalized the wrap on the center. First piece didn't go on right, so I ripped it off, and threw it on the floor,,,,,,and was out of the black. So I put that back on to get an idea how it would look and function together. I've never gone back and figured out the wiring on the Non-Nav clock I installed above. So right now, it's still blank, the head has a clock that stays updated. And my wife doesn't know any different. I bought this car for her to replace her Accord. She never drove the car with the stock nav, stereo, or clock.
